Lili offers multiple plans so you can choose the right level of tools for your business. Once your Lili business account is open and active, you can upgrade from Lili Core to Lili Pro, Lili Smart, or Lili Premium directly from the app.
Before you change your plan
To upgrade or change your plan, you’ll need:
- An approved Lili business account (Lili Core).
- Sufficient funds available to cover your monthly plan fee.
All plans share the same core Lili business banking account; upgrading or downgrading changes the features and monthly fee, not your account number or transaction history.
Which plan is right for me?
This is a quick way to think about your options (for detailed features, see What account plans does Lili offer?).
- Lili Pro – for businesses that want everyday banking plus enhanced perks like savings with APY, expense tools, and basic tax features.
- Lili Smart – for growing businesses that need deeper bookkeeping and reporting, including more advanced accounting tools and automation.
- Lili Premium – for businesses that want our most advanced suite, including richer reporting, additional controls, and premium support.
You can move between plans as your business grows—start with the plan that fits your current needs, and upgrade later if things change.
How to upgrade your plan in the Lili app
You can upgrade your plan from Lili Core or Pro to Smart or Premium directly in the app:
- Sign in to your Lili app (web or mobile).
- Open the Main Menu.
- Tap or click on your personal/business name.
- Tap or click on the “Upgrade to…” message, and review the available plans: Lili Pro, Lili Smart, and Lili Premium.
- Select the plan you’d like to upgrade to and review the monthly fee and key features.
- Confirm your selection to complete the upgrade.
Once confirmed, your new plan is active, and you’ll have access to its features within the Lili app.
When do plan changes and fees take effect?
When you upgrade to Lili Pro, Lili Smart, or Lili Premium:
- Your new plan usually takes effect immediately after you confirm the change.
- The monthly plan fee for your new plan will begin with your next billing period (or as indicated in the confirmation screen).
When you downgrade to a lower‑tier plan or to Lili Core:
- The downgrade will generally apply at the start of your next billing period, so you can continue using your current plan’s features until the end of the current cycle.
- After the downgrade becomes effective, you will be billed at the new plan’s fee (or $0/month for Lili Core).
For specific billing timing and any prorated adjustments, refer to the confirmation message in the app and your account agreement.
Can I move between plans later?
Yes. You can change plans as your business needs evolve, to access more advanced tools (for example, from Pro to Smart, or Smart to Premium).
Your Lili account itself stays open when you change plans. Your:
- Account number and routing number stay the same.
- Transaction history and categorization stay in place.
- Existing reports remain available according to your new plan’s reporting features.
If you have questions about which plan is best for you, or if your plan change doesn’t look right in the app, you can reach the Lili team (See contact options in points here: How do I contact the Lili team?)
