Yes. You can log in to your Lili account from abroad using the Lili mobile app or web app, as long as you have a secure internet connection and your account remains eligible under our standard terms and regulatory requirements.
Who can use Lili from abroad?
If your account is open and in good standing, traveling or living outside the U.S. does not by itself prevent you from signing in.
However, Lili may restrict access or certain features in countries that are subject to sanctions or other regulatory or risk‑based limitations. In those cases, you may not be able to use some services or complete certain transactions while you are physically in those locations.
What should I expect when logging in from another country?
When you sign in from abroad, you should expect the same security steps you see in the U.S., and in some cases additional verification:
- You may be asked to complete two‑factor authentication (2FA) using your phone number, email, or other verification method on file with Lili.
- If you sign in from a new device or a new location, we may prompt you for extra verification to help keep your account secure.
- If any login attempt appears unusual or risky, we may temporarily block access or ask you to confirm that it was really you before allowing further activity.
To avoid issues, make sure your contact information (phone number, email) is up to date and that you can receive verification codes while you’re traveling.
Can I use my Lili card while I’m abroad?
You can generally use your Lili Visa® debit card anywhere Visa is accepted, including outside the United States, subject to our standard card terms, network rules, and any applicable restrictions or fees. Card transactions may be declined if they are attempted in sanctioned or high‑risk countries, or if our fraud systems flag the activity as suspicious.
For details on fees and international card use, see our articles on What are the fees for using my card?, as well as the Master Fee Schedule in our Account Agreement.
Tips before you travel abroad
Before you travel, we recommend that you:
- Make sure your Lili app is updated to the latest version.
- Confirm that your email and phone number on file are current, so you can receive verification codes and important security alerts.
- Enable push notifications from the Lili app so you can quickly see and confirm any login or transaction alerts while abroad.
Customers living abroad with a U.S. business
Lili also supports certain non‑U.S. residents who own an eligible U.S.‑registered business and apply through our non‑resident / Lili Connect onboarding flow. If you were approved for a Lili business account while living outside the United States, you can access your Lili account from abroad in the same way—using the Lili app or web app—subject to our standard security checks, sanctions restrictions, and ongoing eligibility requirements.
If you have moved abroad after opening a Lili account as a U.S.‑resident customer, or you plan to reside outside the U.S. for an extended period, please review Can someone who is not a US citizen sign up for a Lili account? or contact us so we can confirm your eligibility and help prevent disruptions to your account activity.
If you have trouble logging in from abroad or think your access is being blocked incorrectly, contact the Lili team from within the app (when possible) or through the options listed in How do I contact the Lili team?
