How can we help?

How can I have my invoices paid?

Lili gives your business flexible ways to get paid, all from the same invoice—whether your customers prefer cards, bank transfers, or popular payment apps.

Payment options you can add to your invoices

You can connect up to three payment options and attach them to every invoice you send.

You can enable:

  • Credit or debit card via Stripe (fees are charged by Stripe)
  • Bank transfer (ACH) via Stripe (fees are charged by Stripe)
  • PayPal (linked via your PayPal account)
  • Venmo (linked via your Venmo account)
  • Cash App (linked via your Cash App account)

Lili does not charge additional fees on top of what Stripe or your payment apps already charge for processing payments.

What your customer sees when they pay

When you send an invoice from Lili, your customer receives it by email with a Pay Now button.

Here’s what happens next:

  • The customer clicks Pay Now from the invoice
  • A secure payment window opens, showing the payment options you selected for that invoice
  • The customer chooses one of your available methods (for example, card, ACH via Stripe, or one of your app links) and completes payment using that provider’s flow

The payment options themselves are not printed on the PDF invoice. They appear after the customer clicks Pay Now, while any payment details you’ve chosen to show (for example, check mailing address, routing and account information for ACH or wire) are visible directly on the invoice.

How to choose which payment options appear

You control which payment options are available on your invoices so they align with how your business prefers to collect funds.

To select the payment options:

  • From the main menu, go to Invoicing
  • Tap the Settings (cog) icon in the upper right
  • Choose Payment Options
  • Turn on the options you want to offer (card/ACH via Stripe, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App), up to three at a time

If you haven’t connected Stripe yet, you’ll be prompted to complete that connection before enabling card or ACH payments through Stripe.

Getting paid outside of Lili’s payment integrations

Some customers may still pay by check, direct bank transfer, or other offline methods.

You can:

  • Add your preferred check mailing address directly to the invoice
  • Add your bank details (routing and account number) if you’d like customers to send ACH or wire transfers from their bank

These payment details appear on the invoice itself, while the Pay Now button is reserved for the digital payment options you enabled.

Fees, timing, and limits

  • Card and ACH payments processed through Stripe are subject to Stripe’s standard processing fees, which are charged by Stripe and may vary by card type and transaction.
  • Payments made through PayPal, Venmo, and Cash App follow the pricing, timelines, and limits set by those providers.
  • Lili does not support partial invoice payments at this time—each invoice must be paid in full.

Actual deposit timing depends on your Stripe or payment app configuration and the sending bank; refer to your Stripe or app dashboard for detailed payout information.

Important notes for growing businesses

For LLCs, corporations, and partnerships, consider:

  • Enabling card and ACH options through Stripe for a professional, frictionless payment experience
  • Displaying clear bank details on invoices if you regularly receive ACH or wire transfers directly from customers’ finance teams
  • Using consistent payment options across clients so your AR and reporting stay clean as you scale

This setup helps you spend less time chasing payments and more time growing the business while keeping a clear record of how and when each invoice was paid.
