How do I ask my vendor for their payment details?

The 'Ask Your Vendor' feature lets you pay your vendors’ bills without adding their payment details beforehand. You can just send them a request for their payment details and once they provide the information, the payment will be sent out automatically, making bill payment hassle free and easy. 

Please note the following:

  • Once the payment request is sent, the status of the bill changes to "Awaiting Details"
  • The payment request expires after 7 days
  • When the vendor provides their payment details, the information will be saved under that vendor’s contact info for future payments 
  • The payment details request can be canceled while it’s pending the vendor’s payment details. To cancel a request, go to the Bill Pay hub, select the relevant bill and choose “Cancel Payment Details Request”

To request a vendor's payment details, please do the following:

  1. Navigate to Bill Pay:
    • Users access the Bill Pay screen from the menu.
  2. Select an unpaid bill or create a new bill
    • Make sure to choose the vendor, enter the amount, bill number and click on Pay Now
  3. Select "Ask Your Vendor" Option:
    • In the Bill payment options, users can select "Ask Your Vendor" to request the ACH payment details directly from the vendor.
  4. Add your vendor email:
    • Users will add the email address of the vendor.
  5. Confirmation Screen:
    • On this screen, they will review the vendor's email and payment amount entered and then press "Confirm and Send Request."
  6. Details request email is sent out to the vendor:
    • The vendor receives an email from Lili, explaining that their payment details are being requested. 
    • Once the vendor provides the requested details, the payment will be automatically completed.
  7. Post-Completion:
    • The user receives a notification once the payment has been completed successfully.
