What you need before you apply

Having your information ready makes the application smoother.

For each primary business owner applying, please have:

  • Legal first and last name
  • Date of birth
  • Social Security number
  • A U.S. mobile phone number with a major carrier (no VoIP numbers)
  • A U.S. residential address (no P.O. boxes or mail‑forwarding services)

For your business, please have:

  • Legal business name 
  • Business address (the address on file with the state of formation for legal notices; this can be a registered agent address)

  • Entity type and ownership structure (LLC, corporation, partnership, or sole proprietor with DBA)
  • Employer Identification Number (EIN) or SSN, depending on entity type
  • Basic business details, such as industry, website (if you have one), and estimated annual revenue

Depending on your entity type and ownership structure, we may also request one or more of the following common business documents:

  • LLC: EIN letter, Articles of Organization, Certificate of Formation, or similar state‑filed document
  • Corporation: EIN letter, Articles of Incorporation, Certificate of Incorporation, or similar state‑filed document
  • Partnerships: EIN letter and a signed Partnership Agreement that outlines partners, roles, and ownership percentages

If we need any of these documents, we’ll let you know in the app, where you can upload clear photos directly from your device.
