How do I get my tax refund deposited into my Lili account?

Nothing is easier. When you file your taxes with the IRS, you just need to inform them how you would like to receive your refund. 

  • If you use a professional accountant, simply tell them you want to receive your money via ACH transfer and provide them with your Lili Routing and Account numbers.
  • If you do it yourself, using a tax filing software, make sure to select ACH transfer as a method of payment, and enter your Lili Routing and Account numbers. Triple check that the information is correct! 
  • If you use the paper form, you’ll find the Refund section on page 2 of the form 1040. Enter your Lili routing number on line 21b and your account number on line 21d. Also check the Checking Account box.

To view your Lili routing and account numbers, go here when in the app. Otherwise, open the Lili app, tap on the Main Menu and the routing and account numbers will be visible at the top of the screen. 

The IRS claims it usually processes refund within 21 days. If you ask for an ACH transfer, you will receive your money faster than if you’re asking for a check. If you direct your refund to your Lili account you should receive your money up to 2 days earlier than if your account was with a traditional bank, as we make the money available to you as soon as we receive it.

If you choose to receive your money via check, be aware that it will take longer for you to receive it, but you will still be able to deposit it directly into your Lili account using the mobile check deposit feature, as long as it doesn’t exceed your monthly limit.
