How can we help?

Does Lili support international wires?

Yes, Lili supports both inbound and outbound international wire transfers, and the feature is open to 52 countries

This feature is available for all Lili customers that have a registered business (except for sole prop and sole prop DBAs) regardless of the account plan. International wires can be sent and received in more than 130 global currencies (including all major currencies). If funds are received in a foreign currency, they are automatically converted to USD at a FX spot rate before the funds hit your account. To avoid currency conversion costs, consider asking your payer to send the wire in US dollars.

The fee for international wire transfers is:

  • $25 for an Outbound wire transfer
  • $15 for an Inbound wire transfer

For outbound wires, the receiving financial institution may charge an additional fee for the inbound processing of the wire transaction. For inbound wires, the net transaction amount received (in addition to the fees charged by Lili) may be the amount after additional processing fees charged by other banks involved in the wire transfer.

For details about the wire transfer limits (inbound and outbound), please see the Sunrise Banks Account Agreement, Section 3.7 Transaction Limits.

To send an international wire:

  • Go to the Send Money menu
  • Choose International Wire Transfer. You will need to provide the receiver’s Business Name, country, physical address, SWIFT code, IBAN number and Phone Number
  • Choose the currency type
  • Enter the wire amount (if sending in a foreign currency, you will see the equivalent in USD including the foreign exchange)

  • Choose the purpose of the transfer (if it is not on the list, you will need to manually enter the purpose of the transfer)
  • For your first wire transfer on the account, you will need to answer a few questions about your international outbound wire expected usage
  • You need to review and confirm the wire details. Please note the “Estimated delivery” time for the funds to reach the recipient
  • Complete the MFA and your wire will be sent

To receive an international wire:

  • Go to the Add Money menu
  • Choose International Wire Transfer
  • Choose the “Download Wire Instructions” option to have the instructions sent to your email address on file. The document will include the SWIFT code required for sending an international wire to your Lili account: CLNOUS66. If the sending bank requires an 11-character SWIFT code, simply add three Xs to the end: CLNOUS66XXX.

Tracking the status of a wire transfer:

  • Inbound - once the wire hits Lili, you’ll see the funds in your balance and the transaction details in the transaction list; if it was not sent in US dollars, you’ll see the original amount and currency in the transaction details
  • Outbound - you’ll see the status in the transaction details of the wire transaction, as pending, until the transaction is completed at the receiving financial institution / bank.
