How can we help?

How do I deposit cash into my Lili account?

Need to deposit cash? You can add funds directly to your Lili account at over 90,000 retail locations nationwide — no branch, no wire needed. Here's everything you need to know.

What you'll need

  • Your Lili Visa Debit Card
  • Cash to deposit
  • Your Lili mobile app (to find a nearby location)

How to deposit cash

  1. Open your Lili mobile app and tap Add Money.
  2. Select Cash Deposit from the menu.
  3. Use the in-app map to find a participating retail location near you — including Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, 7-Eleven, and more.
  4. Bring your Lili debit card and cash to the register.
  5. Tell the cashier you'd like to make a cash deposit to your debit card.
  6. Swipe your card, hand over the cash, and complete the transaction.
  7. Request a receipt for your records.

Your funds will typically appear in your Lili account within minutes.

Fees

Lili does not charge a fee for cash deposits. However, the retail partner may charge a service fee at the register — typically up to $4.95 per transaction depending on the location. This fee is set by the retailer, not Lili.

Keep your receipt. If a deposit does not appear in your account within the expected timeframe, your receipt is your best reference when contacting support.

Deposit limits

Cash deposit limits vary by retailer. To view your current Lili transaction limits, go to Main Menu then Transaction Limits in the app.

General retail guidelines:

  • Minimum deposit: $20
  • Most locations: up to $500 per transaction
  • Select retailers (e.g., Walmart): up to $1,000 per transaction

Note: Retailers may set their own limits independent of Lili's limits.

Confirming your deposit

Once the transaction is complete at the register, your deposit should reflect in your Lili account within minutes. To confirm:

  1. Open your Lili app or log in at app.lili.co.
  2. Navigate to your Checking Account balance or Transactions tab.
  3. Your cash deposit will appear as a completed transaction.

If the deposit does not appear within an hour, contact Lili Support with your receipt details.
