How can we help?

How do the bank holidays affect you?

How Bank Holidays Affect Your Account

Lili observes all 11 U.S. federal bank holidays. On these days, the Federal Reserve doesn't process payments, which means ACH transfers and wire transfers may be delayed by one business day.

Plan ahead: If a payment is due on a holiday, initiate it the business day before to stay on schedule.

Which Transfers Are Affected?

  • ACH transfers (direct deposits, vendor payments, payroll) - delayed to the next business day
  • Wire transfers - not processed on federal holidays; submitted wires will be sent the next business day
  • Card transactions - not affected; your Lili Visa® Debit Card works as normal

Federal Reserve Bank Holiday Schedule

Weekend rule: Holidays that fall on a Saturday are observed the Friday before. Holidays that fall on a Sunday are observed the Monday after.

What to Expect

  • Transfers initiated on a holiday will begin processing the next business day
  • If a holiday falls right before or after a weekend, allow 1–2 extra business days for funds to arrive
  • Example: You're expecting a client ACH payment on MLK Day. That payment won't process until the next business day and will typically arrive the day after

Need Help on a Holiday?
