Your Lili Savings Account is a dedicated space to set aside funds for planned expenses - whether that's a business emergency reserve, a large upcoming payment, or simply separating operating cash from longer-term savings. Funds in your Savings Account earn interest and remain fully accessible at any time.
While Lili can automatically move a percentage of incoming deposits into your Savings Account, you can also add funds manually at any time in just a few steps.
Before you transfer
- Funds transfer instantly from your Checking Account to your Savings Account.
- You can transfer up to your full available Checking Account balance in a single transfer.
- Your Savings Account has a $1,000,000 deposit limit. You cannot manually transfer funds that would cause your balance to exceed $1,000,000. Interest earned on your account may cause your balance to exceed this limit — this is expected and will not affect your account.
- There are no fees for internal transfers between your Lili accounts.
How to add funds — Web App
- Choose the Dashboard option found at the top of the Main Menu (left panel), go to the Savings Account Balance widget and click on 'Manage'
- Under the Savings Account Balance, click on the 'Deposit' option
- Enter the amount you wish to deposit / transfer into your Savings account / Emergency bucket (the amount can be up to your total checking account balance)
- Click on Deposit
How to add funds — Mobile App
- Go to the Main Menu > Savings Account / Emergency Bucket or tap here if you have the app open on your mobile device.
- Under the Savings Account Balance, tap on the 'Deposit' option
- Enter the amount you wish to add to the Savings Account / Emergency Bucket (the amount can be up to your total checking account balance)
- tap on Continue to complete the transfer
How to confirm the transfer went through
Once complete, the transfer will appear in both your Checking and Savings Account transaction history.
- Open the Lili app or sign in at app.lili.co.
- Navigate to your Savings Account.
- The deposit will appear as an internal transfer from your Checking Account.
If the transfer does not appear within a few minutes, contact Lili Support.
Save automatically instead
If you find yourself manually moving funds on a regular basis, consider setting up automatic savings. Lili can automatically set aside a percentage of every deposit directly into your Savings Account — no manual action required.
To set it up, go to Main Menu then Savings Account then Settings and enable automatic savings.
