Once you’ve connected your Lili account to QuickBooks, your Lili transaction data will appear in your QuickBooks Online account, as explained below.
If you haven’t connected your Lili account yet, see How do I connect my Lili account with QuickBooks? first.
Where to see Lili transactions in QuickBooks
You can find your Lili transactions in QuickBooks Online in one of two places, depending on how your Lili–QuickBooks connection is set up:
- If you’re using the legacy bank-feed method, QuickBooks pulls your Lili transactions into Transactions > Bank transactions.
- If you’re using the new push method, Lili pushes your transactions directly into the register of the mapped account in your Chart of accounts, and those transactions do not appear in Bank transactions.
If you’re not sure which experience you have, review the sections below to identify your connection type.
New push method
With the new method, Lili pushes transaction data directly into the QuickBooks account you mapped during setup. This means your Lili transactions are recorded directly in QuickBooks without using the standard bank-feed experience.
See the steps for upgrading from the legacy bank-feed method to the new method here: I'm already syncing transactions of my Lili account via QuickBooks. How do I upgrade to the new 'Push' integration directly from Lili?
Where to find pushed transactions
To find your pushed Lili transactions in QuickBooks Online:
- Sign in to QuickBooks Online.
- Go to Accounting > Chart of accounts.
- Find the account you mapped your Lili data to during setup.
- Select View register or Account history for that account.
Your pushed Lili transactions will appear in that account’s register. They will not appear under Transactions > Bank transactions when you are using the new push method.
What this means
With the new push method:
- Lili sends transaction data directly into the mapped QuickBooks account.
- You review that activity in the account register inside the Chart of accounts.
- Your accountant or bookkeeper may also reconcile those entries from the mapped account in QuickBooks, depending on your workflow.
If you don’t see the transactions you expect, confirm that you are looking at the correct mapped account in the Chart of accounts and that your integration setup in Lili is active.
Legacy bank-feed method
If your account has not yet moved to the new push method, you may still be using the older QuickBooks bank-feed connection, where QuickBooks connects to Lili as a bank and imports transactions into the banking feed.
Where to find imported transactions
To find your Lili transactions with the legacy method:
- Sign in to QuickBooks Online.
- Go to Transactions > Bank transactions (or Banking, depending on your version).
- Find the bank account tile that represents your Lili account.
- Click that tile to open the feed.
Your imported Lili transactions will appear there in the standard QuickBooks bank-feed workflow, where you can review, categorize, match, or exclude them.
How legacy sync works
With the legacy method:
- QuickBooks pulls transactions from your Lili connection into Bank transactions.
- New Lili transactions are typically imported automatically on a regular basis after the connection is established.
- You manage them using QuickBooks’ normal bank-feed tools, such as For review, Categorized, and Excluded.
How to tell which method you have
You are likely using the new push method if:
- Your newer QuickBooks integration was set up from the Lili side with account mapping, and
- You find Lili transactions only in the register of a mapped account in Accounting > Chart of accounts.
You are likely using the legacy bank-feed method if:
- You originally connected Lili from within QuickBooks by searching for Lili as a bank, and
- Your Lili transactions appear in Transactions > Bank transactions.
If you can’t find your Lili transactions
If you don’t see your Lili transactions where you expect them:
- Check whether your account is using the new push method or the legacy bank-feed method.
- For the new method, review the mapped account register in Accounting > Chart of accounts.
- For the legacy method, review Transactions > Bank transactions and the connected Lili bank tile.
You can also try to Click Update or Refresh in QuickBooks to fetch the latest transactions from Lili.
If the feed appears disconnected or shows an error, follow QuickBooks’ prompts to reconnect the bank or re‑enter your login details. - If needed, confirm your integration setup and mapping with your accountant or bookkeeper.
