There are two ways to connect your Lili account safely to an external bank account.
Option 1 (to add money to your Lili account from the external bank): Move Money tab > Add Money > Transfer from my Linked Account. You will be required to log in to your other bank account using the other bank account's credentials, and you will need to list the amount of funds you wish to transfer, based on your Lili account's allowed limits.
Option 2 (to send money from your Lili account to an external bank): Move Money tab > Add Money > Transfer to my Linked Account. You will be required to log in to your other bank account using the other bank account's credentials, and you will need to list the amount of funds you wish to transfer, based on your Lili account's allowed limits.
The credentials of your external account will not be shared with Lili.
Once you've successfully signed in, both accounts will be connected and you won't need to provide the credentials again in the future when using this feature.
Lili supports accounts from the following banks: Bank of America, BB&T, Capital One Financial, Charles Schwab, Citi Bank, Citizens Financial Group, Fidelity, JPMorgan Chase & Co, Navy Federal, Services Group, SunTrust Banks, TD Bank, USAA, Wells Fargo and many more.
The funds are moved between the accounts through an ACH transfer which typically takes between 3-5 business days.
Note: both the Lili account and the external account should have the same account holder name.
